The recent workshop in Entebbe, Uganda marked a significant milestone as the inaugural in-person gathering for the project’s second phase. Its primary objective was to advance the creation of a scientific network designed to facilitate information and knowledge exchange.
This three-day event provided a valuable platform to :
- Brainstorming session to identify research gaps topics relevant for the context of collaborative work between the riparian countries.
- Review and discuss the current state of water management in the riparian countries.
- Draft and establish the charter for the ENRUC network.
- Share and discuss the latest research and publications focusing on the Eastern Nile Basin done by the participants.
- Develop and outline the content for the Nile Research Portal (NRP).
- Agree on protocols for data sharing of open source data.
