Within the framework of the ENRUC project, the Faculty of Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems at TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with IWMI, is pleased to announce an online introductory training on Water Accounting Plus (WA+)

Training description:

This two-day training on Water Accounting Plus (WA+) provides participants with a solid introduction to the WA+ framework, covering fundamental concepts and practical applications of water accounting. Through a blend of theoretical sessions and hands-on exercises, participants will learn to analyze water balance components, separate evapotranspiration into key parts, and use Rapid WA+ methods to download, preprocess, and interpret water data for sustainable water resource management.

Requirements:

  • You are a citizen of and currently reside in one of the Nile Basin countries (Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda).
  • You have received your BSc degree in civil engineering, water and environmental engineering, earth sciences, or a related discipline. 
  • You have a good theoretical background in hydrology and water resources management.
  • You have at least a basic understanding of programming languages.
  • You have a stable internet connection.
